Anyhow its called 'Rising Sun Blues" it was first recorded as "The House of the Rising Sun" by C. Ashley & G. Foster in 1934, then numerous artists followed putting their own spin on the traditional and original lyrics. The most reknown recording was done by "The Animals" in 1964. This one however being that it has a female vocalist leads me to believe that it is more likely to be Gwen Foster singing than Eric Burden. To find more info 'google it' or go to Wikipedia. I personally love the original and maybe second only to 'The Animals' rendering.
